SALT HOUSE

Planning permission was secured on behalf of our clients for a new-build bungalow located within the rear garden of an existing, substantially larger family home.

The design concept was to avoid creating a single, monolithic structure. Instead, the dwelling was divided into two distinct wings: one dedicated to living and entertaining spaces, and the other containing the more private accommodation, including bedrooms and bathrooms. These two elements are connected by a glazed link, creating a light-filled transition between the public and private areas while helping to reduce the visual mass of the building.
